The National Council of Education Providers

alliance of organizations that
provides quality education opportunities and high quality curriculum for
families in the communities we serve. NCEP is an advocate for equity,
opportunity, innovation and performance in K-12 education:

Partner Relations
|
- We will be forthcoming, responsive, and truthful in communicating with our educational partners.
- We will provide timely responses to any questions or concerns from our educational partners.
- We will provide our educational partners with accurate reports on the academic progress of our partnership schools.
- We will respect the independence and governing authority of our educational partners.
- We will adhere to state codes of ethics and regulations with respect to conflicts of interest.

Student Achievement
|
- We will always strive to meet or exceed state educational standards applicable to public school authorities.
- We will implement policies and guidelines for meeting the needs of all students, including gifted and talented students, students with learning disabilities and limited English proficiency.
- We will create and maintain positive learning environments that emphasize cooperation, foster creativity, and encourage students to take risks involved in learning.
- We will monitor student performance on an on-going basis to ensure progress toward academic standards.
- We will regularly evaluate our educational design to ensure that it is meeting each student’s academic, social, emotional and physical needs.
- We will adhere to state and federal special education law applicable to public school authorities.

Financial Accountability

- We will keep an accurate accounting of our school’s financial results according to accepted accounting standards.
- As required we will provide an accounting of the school’s budget and financial results to our educational partner and other public authorities on a regular basis and upon request.

School Operations |
- We will provide safe and secure school environments conducive to both learning and teaching.
- We will create school environments that encourage teamwork among students, teachers, and school administrators.
- We will design and implement clear decision-making procedures within our schools.
- We will maintain student records in accordance with local educational practices and state and federal law applicable to public school authorities.
- We will make student records available to parent sand our educational partners upon request subject to legal limitations and guidelines.
- We will not tolerate or encourage corporal punishment within our schools.
- We will provide each student with educational materials that are current and reliable.

Parental and Community Involvement
|
- We will encourage constructive and on-going parental involvement.
- We will communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s academic development.
- We will invite and encourage collaboration between our partnership schools and interested citizens, community leaders, and organizations.
- We will design and administer customer satisfaction evaluations to help make our schools more accountable.
